Ticket Sales and Management
Volunteers in this role handle the sale and distribution of tickets for the conference, both online and on-site if applicable. They assist attendees with purchasing tickets, resolving any ticketing issues, and ensuring smooth entry into the event. Additionally, they may help manage ticketing systems and databases to keep track of attendee information.
Sponsorship / Marketing Materials
Volunteers in sponsorship/marketing materials support the conference’s sponsorship efforts and the creation/distribution of marketing materials. This includes coordinating with sponsors, managing sponsor booths or virtual spaces, ensuring sponsors receive proper recognition, and assisting with the creation and distribution of marketing collateral such as flyers, banners, and digital advertisements and conference souvenirs.
Social Media
This role involves managing the conference’s presence on various social media platforms before, during, and after the event. Volunteers create and schedule posts, engage with attendees and followers, share updates and announcements, monitor social media activity, and encourage attendees to share their experiences using event hashtags or handles.
Speaker Management
Volunteers in speaker management assist with coordinating logistics for conference speakers. This includes communicating with speakers regarding their schedules, travel arrangements, accommodation, and presentation requirements. They ensure that speakers have the necessary support and resources to deliver their presentations effectively, and they may also assist with managing speaker sessions during the event.
